Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this site and visit our diner — regardless of ability.
Molly's Diner has been serving everyone in Warren, Arkansas since 1978 — and that "everyone" is literal. This page describes what we've done to make both our website and our physical diner accessible to people with disabilities, and how to reach us if we've missed something.
1. Our Commitment
We believe everyone should be able to browse our menu, place an order, and enjoy a meal with us. Accessibility isn't a compliance checkbox for us — it's part of being a good neighbor.
We're continually working to improve. If you encounter a barrier — digital or physical — please tell us so we can fix it.
2. Website Accessibility
mollysdiner.shop is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
What this means in practice
- Semantic HTML: The site uses proper headings, landmarks, and structure so screen readers can navigate it logically.
- Keyboard navigation: Every interactive element — links, buttons, form fields, the mobile menu, the cart — is reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.
- Focus indicators: Visible focus outlines help keyboard users see where they are on the page.
- ARIA labels: Buttons and form controls have descriptive labels for assistive technology (e.g., "Open cart," "Decrease quantity").
- Alt text: All meaningful images have descriptive alternative text.
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
- Resizable text: Text can be zoomed up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Responsive design: The site works on mobile, tablet, and desktop, and is designed to be usable with screen magnification.
- Reduced motion: Animations are subtle and do not rely on rapid flashing or motion that could trigger vestibular issues.
- Form accessibility: All form fields are labeled, errors are announced and positioned next to the field, and required fields are marked.
3. Physical Accessibility at Our Diner
Our diner at 201 S Myrtle St, Warren, AR 71671 offers the following accessibility features:
- Step-free entrance from the street to the dining area.
- Wheelchair-accessible seating with space for mobility devices at tables.
- Accessible restroom with grab bars and adequate turning radius.
- Service animals are welcome under the ADA.
- Staff assistance — our team is happy to help with reading the menu, reaching items, or any other need.
- Large-print menus available on request — just ask your server.
If you have specific needs before your visit, call us at +1 (870) 226-9913 and we'll make sure everything's ready.
4. Known Limitations
We're honest about where we still have work to do:
- Historical images: Some archival photographs from the 1970s and 1980s have limited alt text because their content cannot be fully identified by current staff.
- PDF menus: We don't currently provide a PDF version of our menu — only the accessible HTML version on our menu page. If you need a PDF, we can email one.
- Third-party maps: The Google Map embed on our contact page relies on Google's accessibility, which is generally good but not fully within our control.
- Legacy content: Some pages written before 2024 may have older formatting that doesn't fully meet our current accessibility standards. We're auditing and updating them one by one.
5. Feedback & Reporting Issues
If you encounter an accessibility barrier — whether on this website, in our online ordering, or at our physical diner — please tell us. We take every report seriously and aim to respond within 2 business days.
You can reach us by:
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: +1 (870) 226-9913
- In person: Ask for the manager at 201 S Myrtle St, Warren, AR 71671
When reporting a website issue, please include:
- The URL (address) of the page with the issue
- What you were trying to do
- What happened instead
- The browser and assistive technology you were using (if applicable)
You don't need to be technical — even a short note helps us fix things faster.
6. Assessment Approach
We evaluate our website's accessibility using a combination of:
- Manual keyboard-only navigation testing
- Screen reader testing (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows)
- Automated accessibility scanners (WAVE, axe)
- Color contrast verification
- Zoom and reflow testing up to 200%
We schedule a full review of this website's accessibility at least once per year, and immediately after any major redesign.
7. Updates to This Statement
We update this Accessibility Statement whenever we make material changes to the site or our diner's accessibility features. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
This statement was last reviewed on January 15, 2026.
